Lenten Series 2018 Rooted in Relationship

In the same way that roots enable a plant to absorb nourishment from the soil and remain anchored in the earth, spiritual practices enable Christians to absorb nourishment from the Holy Spirit and become more deeply anchored in God.  During the season of Lent, all older teens and adults are invited to explore time-tested ways of attending to our spiritual roots.  Each Wednesday, from February 21 to March 21, this series will provide opportunities to learn and experience a different spiritual practice. At 4:30 PM and 7 PM two identical hour-long sessions will be offered each week so you may choose the time that suits you.  Different leaders for each session will offer their insight and experience of that week’s topic as they guide the group in exploring each practice and how to continue at home. Sessions are as follows:

February 21- Prayer and Paper

February 28 – Prayer and Scripture

March 7 – Prayer and Quiet

March 14 – Prayer and Movement

March 21 – Prayer and Voice
