Baptismal Covenant & Human Rights
Did you ever think how the Baptismal Covenant, to which we all have committed, impacts the daily concerns of justice, displayed so forcefully on the news every day? You are invited to join an Adult Education Class that will review the promises of the Baptismal Covenant, the steps of the Way of Love, and offers tools from human rights work to answer this question.  Facilitator: Chuck Stewart
(6) Wednesdays at 4:00 PM in the Chapel, beginning October 16
This study takes a journey through the Baptismal Covenant on the Way of Love. We will explore the question “What does my faith look like?” by offering various tools
based on human rights work that we can apply in our daily life, our volunteer work, professionally, and as a community of faith. Each session will focus on one or more of the Ways of Love, one of the five promises of the Baptismal Covenant, and one aspect of human rights work that reflects this promise.
Optional books:
The Violence of Love by Oscar Romero, $7.99 from Amazon
The Power of Love: Sermons, reflections, and wisdom to uplift and inspire by Michael Curry, available on Audible, Kindle and hardcover

Spirituality and Parenting
This four-week class explores the experience of parenting as it relates to spirituality. It’s not a parenting class, it’s a parenthood class. It’s about the experience of parenting–how parenting impacts our religious lives and can enrich our spiritual lives.
Each week will be focused on a specific topic: parenting and spirituality (Oct. 13), parenting and mindfulness (Oct. 20), parenting and negativity (Oct. 27), and parenting and community (Nov. 3).
Book: There is no book for this class. Short readings will be emailed out each week. Meeting time: This class meets four Sundays in a row at 12:30 pm, starting October 13th.
Feel free to come to any sessions you are able to attend. Childcare and a light lunch will be provided for the children of those attending, beginning at 12:00 pm.
Facilitators: Erica Olson-Bang and Emily Thomas. Email us for more info: or
