Program Content:
The Youth will discuss answering the question,
“what does the Episcopal church say/believe/think about _______”
There will be one group for middle and high school together,
depending on who shows up led by Erin Moore.
There will again be a parallel parent/adult discussion group, and we will all join together for Compline (found in the Book of Common Prayer) at the close where youth will have the opportunity to lead.

Leader BIO:  Erin Moore is a teacher and musician who is excited to be leading the high school group of 4WEST starting this fall. Erin has been teaching music and religion for 10 years in San Francisco, CA and here in Syracuse. Erin holds her Masters in Theological Studies from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, CA, and her Masters in Music Education from Ithaca College. Currently, Erin teaches chorus at Christian Brothers Academy Syracuse and is the music director at St. John’s in Marcellus. Erin is married to St. John’s rector Fr. Steven Moore, and they have two wild children James and Miriam. Youth need to only bring themselves. 4WEST is the result of listening to families and responding to ever changing cultural pressures. Community families and clergy have been in discussion and research to create something to support area youth. The goal is to offer teen youth a path to spiritual growth and the love of Jesus. It has been said many times, “it takes a village to raise a child” and this program will be successful with consistent support and participation from parents, clergy, parishioners and area youth.
