Creating and maintaining a relationship with God is vital to a healthy and nurturing life. St. James’ provides weekly time for kids to learn more about the Bible, its truths, the love of Jesus and how He can help them in their own lives.
St. James’ has chosen a new curriculum entitled DIG IN Foundations of Faith to work for the Hybrid Class combo.
This interactive curriculum will be Foundations of Faith!
Digging Into Foundations of Faith lays the groundwork for what it means to be a Christian. Kids explore what the Bible reveals about who God is and how God sees us, how we fit in God’s family, and how we live the Christian life. As kids understand core concepts, they’ll gain a solid framework for their own relationship with Jesus.
The fun part of this curriculum is the tools and resources it can provide which St. James’ will share so YOU can reinforce with your child at home.
Any questions regarding the Sunday School program or if you are interested in becoming a trained teacher, please contact Laura Posecznick, Children’s Ministries Team Leader at
This is the first year for Hybrid learning.  If you know your child will be choosing the zoom option, please contact Laura Posecznick so materials can be emailed or mailed ahead.  After the first class which will focus on “getting to know” our fellow friends, the curriculum includes videos that can be shared online, experiments all can watch, interactive games that include those on zoom, and music all can listen.  Hoping that new technology works well but know there will be some issues from time to time-everyone’s grace and understanding is appreciated!

This week we will be reviewing the liturgical seasons so far:  Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany.  We will then talk about the characteristics of God we have learned so far and some of the people and lessons we learned.  This lesson will be focused on God is Forever!  A hard concept but one we can have some fun with timelines and spinners!  Below are sheets that you can print at home to have ready for lesson time. The only extra item needed for home participants is a couple of toothpicks. Farther down are some extras about Jesus’ Baptism which is talked about in church this Sunday.  Lots happening! Any Questions-please contact Laura Posecznick at
