THE THEME OF OUR 2020 STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN comes from Matthew 5:14-16 “Shining Your Light” which speaks about people as individuals and as a community of faith, reminding that as each person brings light out into the world, we express gratitude, confidence and willingness to take risks as agents of Jesus, remaking the world. Everyone’s work, prayers and giving are all about making God’s love visible and available to everyone – about the willingness to accept the challenge to stretch and grow into our individual purpose, and into the mission of the church. Everyone is called to be light bearers. It is a powerful calling.
How everyone uses time, talents, and treasure determines how brightly we are shining our light.

WHAT IS STEWARDSHIP?
Stewardship is a way of life for Christians. We have a responsibility to maintain and use wisely all the gifts that God has bestowed. “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1 Peter 4:10. God has given the gift of all creation and invites everyone to be caretakers of that gift. Please take care of and use all God has given, including our very lives, for the mission and glory of God.

WHAT IS A PLEDGE?
A Pledge is a written commitment, made once each year, regarding time, talent and treasure to be given by a family or individual in support of the church’s mission and ministry. The “treasure” or financial portion of the pledge is crucial for the church’s leadership to plan for the year. Please submit your pledges to the Parish Office or email it to Melissa@stjamesskan.org.
If you require a pledge card, they are found in the Parish Office or you can download one here.
