Stewardship Campaign Planning for 2024

Dear Friends of St. James',

As our annual stewardship campaign gets underway, you will be hearing about the theme, Rooted in Abundance, reminding us that we are inspired to give because so much has been given to us. St. James’ means different things to each of us; however, it is our hope you will continue to support the ministries and programs that have grown over the years.

Many St. James’ families have flourished these past years even in times of adversity and transition. St. James’ clergy and staff are committed to maintaining the high standards which keep us all rooted in the abundance of the Holy Spirit. Every gift matters this year as churches unfortunately experience tighter budgets due to increased expense costs.

You will be receiving a mailing from St. James’.  Inside this mailing is a pledge statement (not a year to date),  pledge card with additional cards available on the welcome tables at St. James’. We appreciate you prayerfully considering pledging a total yearly donation. This allows the finance team to accurately budget the church expenses for 2024. Funding is vital nourishment to all areas of worship, service, and ministry. We may not know what lies ahead as we seek a permanent rector; however, our roots will never change. St. James’ will always be welcoming. St. James’ will always support missions facing the community. Most importantly, St. James’ will always look for ways to bring Jesus to the lives of others.

This year, as you prayerfully consider your commitment to our church, please tap into that nourishing structure of faith and generosity shown to us by an extravagant God. This year gives us all time to keep walking the path of faith and prepare for what is around the bend. Your financial contribution, no matter the size, allows St. James’ to flourish spreading our abundance to those people and ministries most in need. Thank you in advance for your generosity and know that your pledge will be used with discernment and respect. If you have any questions about your pledge or how to pledge, please contact the Parish Office.

In gratitude,

St. James’ Stewardship Committee

St. James' Rooted in Abundance

Each week during the Stewardship campaign, you will hear from speakers outlining key areas where your pledges are used.  These areas will be represented by colorful leaves placed on a tree by the baptismal font.  By the end of the campaign, you will visually see how your pledge adds to the abundance St. James’ uses to serve Jesus and our neighbors.

My Life Rooted in Abundance

St. James’ is more than a building. It is people.  Parishioners, visitors, and online viewers who make God and worship a priority in their lives.  Throughout the Stewardship campaign, there will be baskets located on the window wells where you can write an item from the “abundance of your life” and place it on the tree by the peace altar.

Completed Pledge Cards

Completed Pledge cards can be placed in the offering plate, mailed to St. James’ Parish Office, or dropped in the basket located in front of the My Life in Abundance Tree by the peace altar. Blue privacy envelopes are available at the welcome tables.
